Two invaluable books to address the greater emphasis on using and applying maths in KS2 SATs from 2003.
The books use a radical approach to help Y6 children solve the type of more complex problems which come under the umbrella of 'using and applying' in maths.

"What I particularly like is the inclusion of SATs-type questions with children's answers. Overall, I think that the book will reflect a need beyond just another SATs book - this goes one step further and offers, at last, actual strategies and meaningful guidance." Maths Co-ordinator
