The Y5/6 Revision Quizzes in this book are a flexible tool for revising work previously taught in English, and have been developed after extensive classroom use. Each quiz is composed of ten questions on three themes (one word level, one sentence level and one text level), based on the National Literacy Strategy teaching programmes for Year 5 and 6. The 58 quizzes cover the full Reading and Writing Programme of Study for English in The National Curriculum.

Structure
The English quizzes are organized in the same chronological teaching sequence as the Literacy Framework itself: there are 8 or 9 quizzes for each term, from Year 5 term 1 to Year 6 term 3. The themes of the quizzes encompass the Framework objectives for each term and are listed in full on the Contents pages.
